DR. KATHRYN R. BOWMAN, DMD

Dr. Bowman received her undergraduate degree from University of Portland and her dental degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2002. After earning her doctorate and graduating with honors from OHSU, Dr. Bowman went on to attend an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. While at OHSU, Dr. Bowman was chosen to be a member of OKU. This award is given to those individuals in the top 10% of their class. Dr. Bowman is an active member of the Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Bowman’s practice philosophy is based on the belief that patients should have a positive experience and that the most powerful tool is knowing how to listen to a patient’s concerns. Dr Bowman understands that a patient needs to know all of his or her treatment options to be able to make an informed decision about his or her dental care. These include options that are more traditional and others that are more modern and technologically advanced. “I really love the patient-doctor interaction where by working together with patients they can discover and understand what options there are to create or maintain their beautiful smiles.” From the elderly to the very young, Dr. Bowman enjoys making all patients feel welcome and at ease. A native Oregonian, Dr. Bowman and her husband reside in southwest Portland with their dog Shoba. They enjoy biking, running and hiking in the great northwest.
