“I offer my patients
comprehensive care: Treatment that will meet their individual
needs and desires, and is focused toward both their immediate
concerns and their long-terms goals.”
|
Dr. Osterlind is a 1971 graduate of University
of Pacific Dental School. He completed both a postgraduate hospital
based dental internship and a one year anesthesiology residency
at Oregon Health Sciences Center. He served on Anesthesia and Sedation
Committees for the Oregon Board of Dentistry, American Dental Association,
and the Academy of General Dentistry. He holds Fellowships in the
American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the Academy of General
Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the International
College of Dentists. He has served as a Fellowship examiner for
the American Dental Society for Anesthesiology, and has chaired
the Dental Education Council for the Academy of General Dentistry.
Additionally, he has presided over the Oregon Academy of General
Dentistry, the Multnomah Dental Society, and the Oregon Chapter
of the American College of Dentists. In 1996, he was named Oregon
Dentist of the Year.
Dr. Osterlind maintains a practice philosophy based
on one of empathy. "How would I feel if I were having this
procedure done on me? What information would I like to know about
my treatment options, and what would I elect to have or not have
done?. I offer my patients comprehensive care: Treatment that will
meet their individual needs and desires, and is focused toward both
their immediate concerns and their long-terms goals. This requires
treatment options that are current in technology with a proven track
record of success, and are delivered in a high quality and caring
manner".
His practice includes both comprehensive general
dentistry and services for phobic, handicapped and special needs
patients. He is in charge of sedation and anesthesia services within
DDA.
Dr. Osterlind and his wife, JoEllen, are parents
of two grown daughters, Sarah and Kirsten, and one very energetic
Labrador. His outside interests include skiing, cycling, hiking
and travel.
